This weekend we stay home and cuddle 🥰🌸❤️✨️

I have been considering back and forth if I should write this, and I think I want to. Because stuff can happen at cat shows and how you handle them after can make a big inpackt in how your cat will be in the future.

This is Belle, my darling little Belle. The pictures are from the judges table on saturday. She looks calm and sweet in the pictures, but she wasn't.
Belle was fully calm and happy the whole day in her cage and also in the cage behind the judge. Nothing abnormal at all in her behavior. But something changed when I showed her. She fully flipped out on the judges' table in a way I have never seen. She went hysterical and screamed and bit everything she could touch, even me. Not badly, I only got small scratches from her teeth, but she was panicked. You can see it on my arm in the picture. Something scared her so badly that she didn't want to stay at the table. If I held her, she was fine, but if I tried to set her down, she started to freak, and if the judge touched her, she started to bite again.
There can be a lot of reasons for this to happen, sounds, smells, feelings..
After this she stayed in her cage to calm down, but I barely could touch her even to bring her home, so I wrapped her up in a blanket to be able to get her in her traveling cage.
When we got home, she got to be fully alone and eat some really tasty food. After that, she was all cuddles again. She's a snuggle bug, and she's fully back to herself now, but she got to stay home from the show on Sunday, and I have paused her from any future shows now for a while. I don't want her to be scared of traveling or meeting new people, so it's better to give her time now and something else to focus on.

This is not something that is normal. It rarely happens on shows. But it CAN, and you have to be careful and listen to your cat. For Belle, something was off and did not feel safe at the show, so it's important not to push. It's supposed to be safe and fun even for the cats.
So this is what happened, why she didn't get her certificate and why she was absent the day after. Her safety and trust are worth more than any certificate or show. ❤️

Now all my babies from the D-litter have moved to their new and loving homes. ❤️ Only Daphne stays behind to become my new Queen. 🥰
It's always hard to let them go, but to know they are beeing loved makes it easier. I also get updates from time to time from my buyers and it makes me happy to see how well all of my babies are doing. 🌸❤️
